Namkha Weekend in Amsterdam

Make a Namkha weekend + Dutch apple pie!

August 24 – 25

Namkha, an instrument to harmonize ones personal, individual energy.
In 1983 Chögyal Namkhai Norbu composed the text  „The Preparation of the Namkha which Harmonizes the Energy of the Elements“ and in the same year he gave oral teachings on Namkha, clarifying its principle and function as well as the method for its
construction.
The Tibetan word Namkha means space. And space is the base of all existence. It  is the first and most important of the 5 elements, giving room for air, water, fire and earth to manifest and to interact.
The Namkha is also a 3 dimensional object, which has its origin in the Pre-Buddhist tradition of Tibet. It is constructed with crossed sticks, winding around the 5 coloured threads, representing the 5 elements. This is based on precise astrological calculation and it demonstrates the personal components and energetic aspects of each individual.
The ready object will be empowered in a Tibetan ritual and it can become in fact a concrete instrument for harmonizing the energy of the individual, both internally and in relation with the energies of the universe. In this way it can be a concrete help to live our lives with less hindrances.
