Mandarava Tsalung Retreat – UK

Jana Dakini Mandarava Tsalung Retreat with Alexander (Sasha) Pubants

October 14th– 20th At Kunselling, United Kingdom

The long life practice of Dakini Mandarava, is one of three long life practices that we do within the Dzogchen Community. This practice is a discovered Terma of our Teacher which he received during a series of dreams in the Maratika cave, Nepal, where Guru Padmassambhava and Mandarava reached the state of immortality by performing the conjoint long life practice.

Long life practices are especially important to co-ordinate and strengthen our energy, which result in a longer and more harmonious life.  As with all other practices, this practice is also connected with Guru Yoga therefore is also a primary practice to discover and integrate into our Primordial State. As said by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in
‘Experiences of the Primordial State’:

“The practice of Mandarava is a path for having total realization and also relatively for having a longer life and prosperity. But the main point is to attain realization of the state of Mandarava. Mandarava is a totally realized being and so we follow this path.”
Chülen (in Sanskrit ‘Rasayana’ or ‘the Path of Life’s Elixir) is often designated in historical science as ‘alchemy’, the method of inner secret transformation. This practice is related to Tsalung and we will learn the method according to the latest instructions by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, as received by him from the Dakini Sukhasiddhi in his dreams of clear vision.

The Tsalung of Mandarava consists of special methods that work with our inner body: channels, energy and vital essences. Connected with the Longsal  teachings of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu on the Long Life Practice of the Dakini Mandarava, these methods use breathing and visualization to restore the harmony of body and mind and, with less dependence on coarse food, foster clarity and awareness. Other aspects of these methods are meant to develop the experience of pleasure and, through this, to obtain the wisdom of one’s real state beyond any bounds.
Tsalung methods provide the integration of the essence of elements in our body. They are direct means to attain complete enlightenment in the form of the Rainbow Body or the Body of Light.

Anyone who has received transmission of the Long Life practice of the Dakini Mandarava from our precious Master, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, is welcome to attend.

Please bring your copies of the practice text and any ritual items that you have (vajra and bell, damaru, dadar, Chülen pills).
